Atty. Bonavita attended and graduated from Fordham University and he majored in Political Science. He then went on to Suffolk University Laws School where he graduated with a Juris Doctorate Degree. He also served 4 years on the Agawam City Council and has served over 10 years on the Agawam School Committee which he is still a present member of.

Atty. Bonavita served for approximately 7 years as president of the Hampden County Bar Advocates.

He is married to Adele Bonavita his wife and they raised 2 children who are now adults
